Getting Things Together
I initially planned to go to help with framing at 1, but got a call from Jake around 12 needing videos from the fall show and summer industry course. After checking in with Glen, I went up there to find the right hard drive for fall show so Jake could get videos that people didn't resubmit for a better format. For summer industry course, the videos will wait for tomorrow since they aren't needed for industry people and Glen has to dig through the drives himself to find the right version. So after getting the stuff for Jake, I was late to framing. I managed to help them in the end with attaching plastic ends to the frames and move pieces upstairs into Dash. Then I helped Garrett get some measurements of TVs for Spencer.

Screenings
Today at 1pm I participated in judging submitted work for screenings. It went by pretty fast, it was just only over an hour long.

Supplies
I've been helping Garrett take inventory of supplies for Vizagogo, since the VIST show will be using some stuff we need for Vizagogo. There has been a list made on the white board by the equipment rooms split between VIST and Vizagogo.

Exhibition Jurying
At 5:15, I participated in the jurying process for exhibition on printed works to go in the frames. There were 22 items to be juried, I'm pretty sure not all of them got accepted. I also signed up hours to work for Vizagogo in the exhibition, I'm doing a 4 hour shift Saturday from 3pm - 7pm.

Technical Stuff
Wednesday after class I went with Garrett and Chris to the Dean's office to fill out paperwork to be able to be a driver of an university truck. Thursday Garrett sent me a general list of things exhibition will need to see what the lab already has. On Friday I went through the list with Glen and took inventory of our projectors, power cables and supplies. I emailed Garrett back with what we had and what we would need to get, and what architecture has and who he needed to contact to reserve the items (tables and possibly chairs) which would be Ricky.

Editing
Tuesday Jared and I stayed for 3 hours finalizing the edit and trying to shortened down as much as possible. I was able shorten a few shots, cut a few, and even sped a few shots up. We were able to shave 1/2 of a minute off of it. I'm not sure if we can cut anything else out because every gag furthers the plot along. Honestly one of the biggest challenges with this interstitial is fitting a muder mystery into the allotted time. It's hard because a murder mystery has a complicated plot and well defined characters, every second counts in this film. I also created a list of VFX shots so post knows what they have to work on, and Jared checked and finished the list up last week. We exported a render of the final edit out so Morgan can start working on sound.

Last Shoot Days!
Thursday was our last shoot day at the Mansion. Jared, Jacob, Ganesh and I were crew that day. We filmed the buffalo bill scene with Jack and Logan in the attic of the mansion. It was probably one of the funnest shoots since the scene was so ridiculous. The lighting was an easy set up of a rifa light and cold light, and it stayed in the same position besides slight angle adjustments between shots. I held diffuser/flag on some shots, and I did set photography and make up.
Friday Jared managed to schedule our last shot which was one of Tim walking in front of a blue screen. Jessica helped me set up lights to match the shot done with the horse, and Jacob was a stand in for Tim to help us get the lighting right for Tim's height. Tim came at 4, Jared directed/shot the footage and I followed Tim with the fan. It was a quick and easy shoot, but a challenge for lighting. Ambient sun light is the hardest light to match, so we got it as close as possible.
Sunday I came in for a few hours to help Jared finalize the edit for Monday. The lab a/c is off so it made it difficult to concentrate, but we managed to finalize Act I so Morgan can start working on sound for it.

Last Days of Shooting
We shot Monday(April 1) and Tuesday (April 3). Monday we shot the fight scene in front of the mansion. We set up a dolly in front with 1 Rifa and a cold light on the side, and V lights through windows, and another Rifa up high in the middle for ambient fill light. Since the lighting set up only changed twice I did set photography.
As you can see we did some creative problem solving. We didn't have a wig to match Ms. Schmidt's hair, so we had her lean against Jack with her hair flopped over his head and Jacob hair dressed it. We use Rifa and Cold light to light the outdoor porch scene, much of the light bounced from the white walls. I did a little lighting I was allowed, helped with set dressing/clean up, and did set photography.
Tuesday was probably our longest shoot. We ended around 4 am. Again I did some lighting, helped with set dressing/clean up and set photography.
